To turn movie subtitles ON or OFF:
On the Movies Anywhere app:
- Play a movie from My Movies
- Tap the Subtitles icon, located in the upper portion of the movie screen. When the speech bubble is black, subtitles are turned off; when the speech bubble is white, subtitles are turned on
On the Movies Anywhere website:
- Play a movie from My Movies
- Click the Subtitles icon in the bottom right corner of the movie screen. Select “English” to turn on subtitles; to turn off subtitles, select “None”
On Apple TV:
- Play the movie you would like to watch
- Swipe down on your remote's Touch surface to reveal the Info panel, then swipe right to see the Subtitles panel. Swipe down and select the option that you want to use.
On Fire TV:
- Play the movie you would like to watch
- Press DOWN on your remote to view movie player options
- Press DOWN to highlight the Closed Captioning (CC) icon
- Navigate to Subtitles and select the language you want
- Press back to exit the menu
On Android TV:
- Play the movie you would like to watch
- Press the Menu button on your remote
- Press UP to highlight the “Settings” item
- Press OK to activate the menu
- Navigate to Subtitles and select the language you want
- Press back to exit the menu
On Roku:
- Play the movie you would like to watch
- Press the settings (*) button on your remote
- Press the Left or Right button until captions mode is on
- Press OK to return to playback
NOTE: To enable Closed Captioning in Spanish (or other languages), go to Roku Settings. Select "Accessibility", then "Captions preferred language", then "Spanish."
On LG TV, VIZIO SmartCast TV and Samsung Smart TV:
- Play the movie you would like to watch
- Press DOWN on your remote to view movie player options
- Press DOWN to highlight the Closed Captioning (CC) icon
- Navigate to Subtitles and select the language you want
- Press back to exit the menu
To enable forced captions on Roku (captions for spoken languages other than the primary spoken language):
- Play the movie you would like to watch
- Press the settings (*) button on your remote
- Set captions to Always On
- Set caption track to English Forced
